The signs a website has been outgrown.

01

The business is better than the site says it is.

Hydra Restore had the accreditations, the van-mounted kit and real before and after photos. Their old site hid all of it behind a logo sitting over the hero photo, with no call to action on the first screen. Customers judge what they can see, and they could not see any of that.

02

Small mistakes are quietly costing trust.

A headline typo. A copyright line reading 2035. A phone number that only showed on mobile. All three were on Meridian's old site, in front of the procurement teams they sell to. Nobody tells you they noticed. They just call someone else.

03

It falls apart on a phone.

Most visitors arrive on a phone. A site designed for a desktop and squeezed down to fit makes them pinch, scroll and give up, usually before they reach the part that would have convinced them.

04

Nobody can find anything, including Google.

The same services listed three times down one very long page. Auto-generated page addresses. No clear page for each thing you sell. That confuses people and search engines in the same way.

A redesign fixes the presentation without throwing away what you have built.

What changes and what stays

What stays, what changes.

A redesign is not a fresh start. The things customers already recognise, and the things Google already trusts, are kept. Everything getting in their way is rebuilt.

Four steps from old site to new.

You see real work at every step, and nothing moves forward until you are happy with the one before.

01

Review what you have

A conversation about the business and a proper look at the current site: what is working, what is getting in the way and which pages Google already sends people to. It ends with a short brief and a fixed quote.

02

See your new homepage

Your homepage designed in full, so you are comparing a real page against the one you have now, not reacting to a mood board. Where it helps, two directions are built so you can choose.

03

Build and move across

The approved direction becomes the full site, checked on real devices as it takes shape. Every old page address is mapped to its new home so nothing is lost in the move.

04

Launch and check

Redirects switched on, the sitemap submitted to Google and every form and link tested. Then it goes live, and it can be handed over or looked after from there.

Questions about redesigning a website.

The ones asked before nearly every redesign, answered plainly.

01Will a website redesign lose my Google rankings? Most asked
Not if it is done properly. Every page address on the old site is mapped to its new home and redirected, page titles that already rank are carried over, and a new sitemap is submitted at launch so Google finds the change quickly. Nobody honest can promise a ranking, so Apyx does not, but a redesign should never cost you the ones you have.
02How much does a website redesign cost?
Redesigns start from £999. Most redesigns for established businesses sit in that band, and larger sites, shops and booking systems start from £1,999. Every project is quoted individually and the quote is fixed before work starts.
03Can I keep my logo, name and brand colours?
Yes. A redesign keeps what customers already recognise, including the name, the logo and the colours, and rebuilds how they are presented. Meridian's orange monogram, for example, was kept and made larger rather than replaced.
04Can you redesign a Wix, Squarespace or WordPress website?
Yes. Most redesigns start from one of those platforms. The new site is either hand-built as fast static code or rebuilt on a platform such as Shopify or Squarespace where you need to run a shop or edit content yourself. Your domain stays yours throughout.
05Do I see the new design before I commit?
For redesigns, the first real step is usually your homepage designed in full, so you can compare it with the site you have now before the rest is built.
06How long does a website redesign take?
A smaller site can be live within a few weeks. Larger sites take longer, mostly because there is more content to get right. The timeline is agreed at the start and you see real work at every step.
