This Cookie and Browser Storage Policy explains how Apyx Design uses cookies, browser storage and similar technologies on apyxdesign.com.

Apyx Design is operated by Malakai Goodison trading as Apyx Design.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small pieces of information that websites may store on your device when you visit them.

Cookies can be used for purposes such as remembering preferences, maintaining website sessions, analysing website usage, enabling website functionality, and supporting advertising or tracking.

However, cookies are not the only technology capable of storing information on a visitor's device.

2. Browser Storage and Similar Technologies

Websites may also use technologies such as session storage, local storage, scripts, tags, pixels and other browser-storage technologies.

UK privacy rules can apply to these technologies in a similar way to cookies.

For that reason, this policy covers both traditional cookies and other browser-storage technologies used by Apyx Design.

3. What Apyx Design Currently Uses

At the date of this policy, apyxdesign.com is designed to operate with minimal use of cookies and browser storage.

We do not currently use advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies.

We do not currently use third-party cookie-based advertising analytics.

We currently use a limited browser session-storage value associated with the website's introductory experience.

4. The apyx-intro Session Storage

Apyxdesign.com currently uses a browser session-storage value identified as apyx-intro.

Its purpose is to remember whether the website's introductory animation or experience has already been displayed during your current browsing session.

This prevents the introduction from unnecessarily repeating while you continue to use the website.

Type: Browser session storage. Provider: Apyx Design, first party. Purpose: Website appearance and user-interface functionality. Duration: Current browser session. Advertising use: None. Cross-site tracking: None.

The value is not intended to identify you personally, build a profile about you or track your activity across other websites.

It normally expires when the relevant browser session ends.

5. Why We Use apyx-intro

The storage is used solely to improve how the website appears and functions during your visit.

It is not used for advertising, behavioural profiling, cross-site tracking, marketing, determining your interests, or selling information about visitors.

Where permitted under applicable rules relating to website appearance or functionality, this type of storage may be used without obtaining conventional cookie consent provided the relevant legal requirements are satisfied.

Where those requirements apply, visitors must be provided with clear information and a simple, free way to object.

6. Objecting to Functional Browser Storage

You can object to optional appearance or functionality storage using the control below.

Where you object, Apyx Design will not use the relevant optional browser storage for that purpose after your preference has been registered.

You can also remove browser storage using your browser's website-data controls.

Browser controls may allow you to inspect stored website information, delete cookies, delete local or session storage, restrict storage, block cookies, or remove stored website data.

Browser settings differ between browsers and devices.

7. Google Fonts

Apyxdesign.com uses the Archivo typeface, a Google Font, but hosts the font files itself, so your browser does not request them from Google.

Where fonts are loaded directly from Google's servers rather than hosted by Apyx Design, your browser makes a request to Google's infrastructure in order to retrieve the font files.

As part of this technical request, information such as your IP address may be transmitted to Google.

Google Fonts are not used by Apyx Design for behavioural advertising or to intentionally track visitors across websites.

Where Apyx Design relies upon the applicable website-appearance exception for an external font resource, visitors must be provided with clear information about that use and a simple, free means of objecting. You can object using the control in section 6 above.

Apyx Design may instead self-host font files so that visitors' browsers do not need to connect directly to Google for those files.

8. Contact Forms

Apyxdesign.com uses Web3Forms to process website form submissions.

Submitting a form causes information entered into that form to be transmitted to Web3Forms so that the message can be delivered to Apyx Design.

This is primarily a data-processing activity rather than an advertising-cookie function.

Web3Forms or any security technology used alongside forms may use technical mechanisms necessary to deliver submissions, prevent spam, detect abuse, or protect the service.

If additional cookies or browser-storage technologies are introduced through our forms, this policy will be updated where required.

9. Analytics

Apyx Design counts visits to apyxdesign.com with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It does not set cookies, does not track you across other websites and is not used for advertising. It records things like which pages are viewed and the type of device used.

It only loads if you choose Allow in the cookie banner. If you choose Deny, or make no choice, it never loads.

You can change your choice at any time. Changing it shows the banner again.

10. Advertising and Tracking

Apyx Design does not currently use apyxdesign.com to place third-party behavioural advertising cookies or intentionally track visitors across unrelated websites.

If this changes in future, we will update this policy and introduce an appropriate consent mechanism where required.

11. Embedded Third-Party Content

At the date of this policy, Apyx Design does not intentionally use embedded third-party maps or videos that place advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies simply by loading the page.

If services such as embedded videos, maps, social-media widgets or other third-party content are introduced, those services may use their own cookies or similar technologies.

Where necessary, such content will be handled through an appropriate consent or preference mechanism and this policy will be updated.

12. Necessary Technologies

Some website technologies may be necessary for security, network communication, processing a requested action, preventing abuse, or providing functionality specifically requested by a visitor.

Where applicable law permits such technology to operate without consent, Apyx Design may use it without first requesting consent.

We will still provide appropriate information about that technology where required.

13. Your Choices

Where Apyx Design introduces non-essential storage or access technology requiring consent, you will be given an appropriate choice before it is activated.

Where we rely upon an exception that requires an objection mechanism, you will be provided with a simple means of objecting.

Where consent is used, you will be able to withdraw that consent.

Rejecting optional technologies should not prevent access to the main content of apyxdesign.com unless a particular technology is genuinely necessary to provide a service you have specifically requested.

14. Changes to This Policy

Apyx Design may update this policy where website technology changes, new storage technologies are introduced, new third-party services are added, analytics or embedded services are introduced, or applicable law or regulatory guidance changes.

The latest version will be displayed on apyxdesign.com with its most recent update date.
