About the project
01The brief
Korm Interiors fits out and refurbishes commercial interiors, from offices and shops to dental surgeries, working from Leeds across England. It builds from the client's interior designer's or architect's drawings rather than designing the space itself. The company is new, so there was no website and no portfolio under its own name, and the site had to earn the trust of business owners and their designers without making anything up: no invented projects, testimonials or accreditations.
02The design
The idea is that every interior starts as a line drawing. The colours come straight from Korm's own logo, a deep Cyprus green and sand, with a burnt orange kept for small details. Headings use a sharp serif, thin drawn lines run through the introduction, and each service has its own line drawing. Photographs of the team's earlier work are always captioned as delivered before Korm was founded, and stock images are labelled as representative.
03How it works
Someone planning a fit-out worries about cost, disruption and whether the finished room will match the drawings. The homepage answers in order: the promise, a retail unit the team took from strip-out to trading, what was planned against what usually goes wrong, the services, four steps, plain answers and a closing call. Sector pages cover retail, offices, education, healthcare and dental practices, and 38 town pages each carry a locator map.
The finished site.
The homepage from top to bottom, the phone layout beside it and two sections up close.
